Mississippi Pot Roast

This is a “leave the door open” meal. Let it cook while life happens. This is my families favorite served with rolls for sliders. You can always toss in a few veggies if you like also.
A slow, comforting roast made to gather people around the table.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 8 hours (slow cooker)
Total Time: 8 hours 10 minutes
Servings: 6–8
Ingredients
3–4 lb chuck roast
1 packet ranch seasoning
1 packet au jus gravy mix
6–8 pepperoncini peppers
½ cup pepperoncini juice
½ cup butter
Optional: carrots & potatoes
Instructions
Place roast in the slow cooker.
Sprinkle ranch and au jus mixes over the top.
Add peppers, juice, and butter.
Cook on LOW 8 hours (or HIGH 4–5).
Shred when it is fork tender and serve warm
