Mississippi Pot Roast

This is a “leave the door open” meal. Let it cook while life happens. This is my families favorite served with rolls for sliders. You can always toss in a few veggies if you like also.



A slow, comforting roast made to gather people around the table.


Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 8 hours (slow cooker)

Total Time: 8 hours 10 minutes

Servings: 6–8


Ingredients

  • 3–4 lb chuck roast

  • 1 packet ranch seasoning

  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix

  • 6–8 pepperoncini peppers

  • ½ cup pepperoncini juice

  • ½ cup butter

  • Optional: carrots & potatoes


Instructions

  1. Place roast in the slow cooker.

  2. Sprinkle ranch and au jus mixes over the top.

  3. Add peppers, juice, and butter.

  4. Cook on LOW 8 hours (or HIGH 4–5).

  5. Shred when it is fork tender and serve warm
